I found this with the businesses that we used collective intelligence in. Without trust, it doesn't work. We lost the trust once as a system and it took a long time to fix it.

Do you think it's possible to always reclaim lost trust? That would require an abundance of unconditional empathy, which many people may not possess.

How would you address participants who lose their trust in the system—perhaps as far as to never again lend open ears or hearts? I imagine this reluctance threatens the swarm's integrity as it limits information gathering.

ZacharyPataky always is a tough word. I think if you harm children as an adult, or do something so evil, then maybe not.

But I like the idea of bringing swarming to prisons and letting inmates try to problem solve from there. Maybe if they discovered something so amazing there, then we would be able to forgive most things. I think the more heinous the crime, the harder it would be to regain that trust.
